To be otherkin is to identify on some level as something nonhuman. There are lots of different reasons that people identify as otherkin! For some it is a spiritual identity that has to do with past lives or other universes. For some, it is a psychological thing that makes them feel "other." For some, it can be a coping mechanism.

Kithtypes, or heartedtypes, are alterhuman identities held because one identifies with something very strongly. A kithtype is something you identify with rather than as.
Just like with otherkinity, there are lots of reasons for this! Some of my kithtypes are purely psychological, and some are spiritual from past lives!

Psychic Vampire -a vampire in this sense is a person who lacks some type of energy and has to supplement it. A psychic vampire feeds on psychic energy rather than blood. We are part of what is sometimes referred to as the "modern vampire" or just "vampyre" community! 🧛Paratypes -an alterhuman "misc." box for identities that cannot be described in any other way besides generally alterhuman. I only have two of these: zombie, and general hunter from Supernatural. 🧟Rabiespunk/Rabiosexual -an identity created for neurodivergent trans people labeled as "rabid" or "diseased" because of their identity so they identify as rabid out of spite. 🦝Voidpunk -someone who identifies as nonhuman because society treats them as such. I identify as voidpunk due to the fact that I'm aroace, neurodivergent, and nonbinary. 👾
